It’s hard to add any more magic to the mesmerizing new revival of The Glass Menagerie, but artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson has added another dimension of enchantment to John Tiffany’s dreamlike production. In his latest Broadway Ink, Squigs has perfectly captured the characters played onstage by Zachary Quinto, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Cherry Jones and Brian J. Smith. Readers who have seen the magnificent revival will also notice that the show’s central glass figurine of a unicorn also made it into the portrait, with the yellow glint of this glassy menagerie spreading across the entire piece. It’s just as gorgeous as the show! Admire Squigs’ work above, and make sure to grab one of the hottest tickets in town to see The Glass Menagerie!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
